How to make babyback ribs in a hour using your electric pressure cooker

Remember you had to plan ahead and set aside hours to make baby back ribs? A friend of mine clued me into a good tip that doesn't require much planning or time. She told me that the secret is an "electric" pressure cooker. Sure a regular stainless steel pressure cooker works, but the electric pressure cooker saves so much time! You don't have to listen for a timer or worry that the lid is going to blow through the roof! It does it all for you.

Your baby back ribs will be so tender that it literally falls off the bone in just one short hour. It is so easy. Either buy a slab of ribs or let your ribs defrost. Turn the pressure cooker on high and set the time for 60 minutes and press the start button. Once the ribs are ready to cook, you just take them out of the package, cryovac or regular and throw them in the pressure cooker on their side, end bone side down, with a bottle of Bone Sucking Sauce and 1 cup of water. Close the top and set for pressue.

The pressure cooker takes a few minutes to reach boiling temperature and then when it does, the minutes start counting down. It is so easy that I can hardly believe it. It turns itself off. It can't overheat or cook too long because it is set to turn off (down to warm) when the time is up. It does beep to let you know it is done.

When you start thinking of what you could make that are nutritionally beneficial and satisfying, look up a recipe and see how easy it is. Start looking for a good deal on an electric pressure cooker and save for it and reward yourself with delicious food that is quick and easy to make.

So far I have made chili, split pea soup, sweet and sour chicken, chicken marsala, cheesecake, spaghetti sauce, sweet and sour chili, pot roast, brisket, corned beef, lamb shanks and this is just the tip of the list. What you could spend hours making can be made in 15 minutes or up to an hour. Nothing takes more than an hour that I have listed.

With an electric pressure cooker, you can decide to make pulled pork sandwiches, and chili and still have time to spare, even if you decide at 5:00 to have a party at 7 p.m. You can throw the pork butt in the pressure cooker and go to the store for anything you forgot!
